| Lake view
The most important modification was pulling down a woodshed attached to the barn and a big part of the barn itself. Thanks to that now we have a lake view from the yard.

| Arbour
It was built where the barn gate used to be (after pulling down a part of the barn in which hay was kept).

Firewood is now stored where the loo used to be. The stairs now lead to the attic. The ladder-entry (from the yard-side) on which the cats loved to sit was turned into a window.

| Garden
A mysterious black circle on the new photo is a home sewage treatment plant's outlet and not a buried tank :)

| Field
In 1998 the field was so overgrown and undulating that you couldn't spot the lake from the yard. It was total shambles behind the barn when we arrived on Easter 1999 - as if a battle took place out there. It turned out it was just a neighbour who did us a favour and flattened the field with his bulldozer. Accidentally he pulled out the remains of an old barn, old metal fences, huge stones and various treasures from the ground. It took our family the whole Easter time to tidy it up.
