The Village at the border of Borecki’s forest (one of three the wildest
forests in Poland  in the ranking of “Rzeczpospolita”), and within it our
(Robert and Ania’s) house by the lake. The Deep lake not only by its
name. Region Mazury Garbate, in the middle of a triangle between
Gołdapia, Giżycko and Olecko, at the border of Mazury and Suwalki
region, East Prussia. 5 km from the asphalted road, but unfortunately it
can change – there are plans to build the asphalted road from the near
shop and chapel in Sokółki to Zawady. But we live by the dirt-track
leading to the lake, 1 km from the village. In the summer time people who go
to the “beach” visit us very often, but at the winter there is sometimes
no one for a week (click on the map to enlarge it)
